Summer 2010 Bettany was awarded the Naomi Sargent Education Award for Broadcast Excellence. She also delivered the keynote lecture at the UK’s only Postgraduate Festival hosted by Leicester University. This year she will be a judge of the Threadneedle prize for fine art and the chair of a major literary prize.
September 2010 Bettany will open Europe’s new academic year with a keynote address at Maastricht University ‘Ta Erotika – the Search for The Good Life’.
Spring 2011 – Bettany has been invited to give the Hellenic Institute’s Tenth Annual Lecture at Royal Holloway.
October 2011 Bettany will be delivering a residential course for Cambridge University to examine the Spartans and their reception by non-Spartans over a period of 26 centuries.
Bettany currently holds a Visiting Research Fellowship at King's College, London. Exciting developments planned; please check this site for updates.
Bettany will also be teaching on the UK's first ever MA in Public History at Royal Holloway, University of London.
